In the beginning,
God created the heavens and the earth.
Genesis 1:1 ESV

The earth was without form and void,
and darkness was over the face of the deep.
And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters.
Genesis 1:2 ESV

And God said,
&#;Let there be light,&#;
and there was light.
Genesis 1:3 ESV

And God saw that the light was good.
And God separated the light from the darkness.
Genesis 1:4 ESV

God called the light Day,
and the darkness he called Night.
And there was evening and there was morning,
the first day.
Genesis 1:5 ESV

And God said,
&#;Let there be an expanse in the midst of the waters,
and let it separate the waters from the waters.&#;
Genesis 1:6 ESV

And God made the expanse and separated the waters that were under the expanse from the waters that were above the expanse.
And it was so.
Genesis 1:7 ESV

And God called the expanse Heaven.
And there was evening and there was morning,
the second day.
Genesis 1:8 ESV

And God said,
&#;Let the waters under the heavens be gathered together into one place,
and let the dry land appear.&#;
And it was so.
Genesis 1:9 ESV

God called the dry land Earth,
and the waters that were gathered together he called Seas.
And God saw that it was good.
Genesis 1:10 ESV

And God said,
&#;Let the earth sprout vegetation,
plants yielding seed,
and fruit trees bearing fruit in which is their seed,
each according to its kind,
on the earth.&#;
And it was so.
Genesis 1:11 ESV

The earth brought forth vegetation,
plants yielding seed according to their own kinds,
and trees bearing fruit in which is their seed,
each according to its kind.
And God saw that it was good.
Genesis 1:12 ESV

And God said,
&#;Let there be lights in the expanse of the heavens to separate the day from the night.
And let them be for signs and for seasons,
and for days and years,
Genesis 1:14 ESV

And God made the two great lights&#;the greater light to rule the day and the lesser light to rule the night&#;and the stars.
Genesis 1:16 ESV

And God set them in the expanse of the heavens to give light on the earth,
Genesis 1:17 ESV

to rule over the day and over the night,
and to separate the light from the darkness.
And God saw that it was good.
Genesis 1:18 ESV

And God said,
&#;Let the waters swarm with swarms of living creatures,
and let birds fly above the earth across the expanse of the heavens.&#;
Genesis 1:20 ESV

So God created the great sea creatures and every living creature that moves,
with which the waters swarm,
according to their kinds,
and every winged bird according to its kind.
And God saw that it was good.
Genesis 1:21 ESV

And God blessed them,
saying,
&#;Be fruitful and multiply and fill the waters in the seas,
and let birds multiply on the earth.&#;
Genesis 1:22 ESV

And God said,
&#;Let the earth bring forth living creatures according to their kinds&#;livestock and creeping things and beasts of the earth according to their kinds.&#;
And it was so.
Genesis 1:24 ESV

And God made the beasts of the earth according to their kinds and the livestock according to their kinds,
and everything that creeps on the ground according to its kind.
And God saw that it was good.
Genesis 1:25 ESV

Then God said,
&#;Let us make man in our image,
after our likeness.
And let them have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over the livestock and over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.&#;
Genesis 1:26 ESV

So God created man in his own image,
in the image of God he created him;
male and female he created them.
Genesis 1:27 ESV

And God blessed them.
And God said to them,
&#;Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth and subdue it,
and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over every living thing that moves on the earth.&#;
Genesis 1:28 ESV

And God said,
&#;Behold,
I have given you every plant yielding seed that is on the face of all the earth,
and every tree with seed in its fruit.
You shall have them for food.
Genesis 1:29 ESV

And God saw everything that he had made,
and behold,
it was very good.
And there was evening and there was morning,
the sixth day.
Genesis 1:31 ESV

And on the seventh day God finished his work that he had done,
and he rested on the seventh day from all his work that he had done.
Genesis 2:2 ESV

So God blessed the seventh day and made it holy,
because on it God rested from all his work that he had done in creation.
Genesis 2:3 ESV

These are the generations of the heavens and the earth when they were created,
in the day that the Lord God made the earth and the heavens.
Genesis 2:4 ESV

When no bush of the field was yet in the land and no small plant of the field had yet sprung up&#;for the Lord God had not caused it to rain on the land,
and there was no man to work the ground,
Genesis 2:5 ESV

then the Lord God formed the man of dust from the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life,
and the man became a living creature.
Genesis 2:7 ESV

And the Lord God planted a garden in Eden,
in the east,
and there he put the man whom he had formed.
Genesis 2:8 ESV

And out of the ground the Lord God made to spring up every tree that is pleasant to the sight and good for food.
The tree of life was in the midst of the garden,
and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.
Genesis 2:9 ESV

The Lord God took the man and put him in the garden of Eden to work it and keep it.
Genesis 2:15 ESV

And the Lord God commanded the man,
saying,
&#;You may surely eat of every tree of the garden,
Genesis 2:16 ESV

Then the Lord God said,
&#;It is not good that the man should be alone;
I will make him a helper fit for him.&#;
Genesis 2:18 ESV

Now out of the ground the Lord God had formed every beast of the field and every bird of the heavens and brought them to the man to see what he would call them.
And whatever the man called every living creature,
that was its name.
Genesis 2:19 ESV

So the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall upon the man,
and while he slept took one of his ribs and closed up its place with flesh.
Genesis 2:21 ESV

And the rib that the Lord God had taken from the man he made into a woman and brought her to the man.
Genesis 2:22 ESV

Now the serpent was more crafty than any other beast of the field that the Lord God had made.
He said to the woman,
&#;Did God actually say,
&#;You shall not eat of any tree in the garden&#;?&#;
Genesis 3:1 ESV

but God said,
&#;You shall not eat of the fruit of the tree that is in the midst of the garden,
neither shall you touch it,
lest you die.&#;&#;
Genesis 3:3 ESV

For God knows that when you eat of it your eyes will be opened,
and you will be like God,
knowing good and evil.&#;
Genesis 3:5 ESV

And they heard the sound of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day,
and the man and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God among the trees of the garden.
Genesis 3:8 ESV

But the Lord God called to the man and said to him,
&#;Where are you?&#;
Genesis 3:9 ESV

Then the Lord God said to the woman,
&#;What is this that you have done?&#;
The woman said,
&#;The serpent deceived me,
and I ate.&#;
Genesis 3:13 ESV

The Lord God said to the serpent,
&#;Because you have done this,
cursed are you above all livestock and above all beasts of the field;
on your belly you shall go,
and dust you shall eat all the days of your life.
Genesis 3:14 ESV

And the Lord God made for Adam and for his wife garments of skins and clothed them.
Genesis 3:21 ESV

Then the Lord God said,
&#;Behold,
the man has become like one of us in knowing good and evil.
Now,
lest he reach out his hand and take also of the tree of life and eat,
and live forever&#;&#;
Genesis 3:22 ESV

therefore the Lord God sent him out from the garden of Eden to work the ground from which he was taken.
Genesis 3:23 ESV

And Adam knew his wife again,
and she bore a son and called his name Seth,
for she said,
&#;God has appointed for me another offspring instead of Abel,
for Cain killed him.&#;
Genesis 4:25 ESV

This is the book of the generations of Adam.
When God created man,
he made him in the likeness of God.
Genesis 5:1 ESV

Enoch walked with God after he fathered Methuselah years and had other sons and daughters.
Genesis 5:22 ESV

Enoch walked with God,
and he was not,
for God took him.
Genesis 5:24 ESV

the sons of God saw that the daughters of man were attractive.
And they took as their wives any they chose.
Genesis 6:2 ESV

The Nephilim were on the earth in those days,
and also afterward,
when the sons of God came in to the daughters of man and they bore children to them.
These were the mighty men who were of old,
the men of renown.
Genesis 6:4 ESV

These are the generations of Noah.
Noah was a righteous man,
blameless in his generation.
Noah walked with God.
Genesis 6:9 ESV

And God saw the earth,
and behold,
it was corrupt,
for all flesh had corrupted their way on the earth.
Genesis 6:12 ESV

And God said to Noah,
&#;I have determined to make an end of all flesh,
for the earth is filled with violence through them.
Behold,
I will destroy them with the earth.
Genesis 6:13 ESV

Noah did this;
he did all that God commanded him.
Genesis 6:22 ESV

two and two,
male and female,
went into the ark with Noah,
as God had commanded Noah.
Genesis 7:9 ESV

And those that entered,
male and female of all flesh,
went in as God had commanded him.
And the Lord shut him in.
Genesis 7:16 ESV

But God remembered Noah and all the beasts and all the livestock that were with him in the ark.
And God made a wind blow over the earth,
and the waters subsided.
Genesis 8:1 ESV

Then God said to Noah,
Genesis 8:15 ESV

And God blessed Noah and his sons and said to them,
&#;Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth.
Genesis 9:1 ESV

&#;Whoever sheds the blood of man,
by man shall his blood be shed,
for God made man in his own image.
Genesis 9:6 ESV

Then God said to Noah and to his sons with him,
Genesis 9:8 ESV

And God said,
&#;This is the sign of the covenant that I make between me and you and every living creature that is with you,
for all future generations:
Genesis 9:12 ESV

When the bow is in the clouds,
I will see it and remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of all flesh that is on the earth.&#;
Genesis 9:16 ESV

God said to Noah,
&#;This is the sign of the covenant that I have established between me and all flesh that is on the earth.&#;
Genesis 9:17 ESV

He also said,
&#;Blessed be the Lord,
the God of Shem;
and let Canaan be his servant.
Genesis 9:26 ESV

May God enlarge Japheth,
and let him dwell in the tents of Shem,
and let Canaan be his servant.&#;
Genesis 9:27 ESV

And Melchizedek king of Salem brought out bread and wine.
(He was priest of God Most High.)
Genesis 14:18 ESV

And he blessed him and said,
&#;Blessed be Abram by God Most High,
Possessor of heaven and earth;
Genesis 14:19 ESV

and blessed be God Most High,
who has delivered your enemies into your hand!&#;
And Abram gave him a tenth of everything.
Genesis 14:20 ESV

But Abram said to the king of Sodom,
&#;I have lifted my hand to the Lord,
God Most High,
Possessor of heaven and earth,
Genesis 14:22 ESV

But Abram said,
&#;O Lord God,
what will you give me,
for I continue childless,
and the heir of my house is Eliezer of Damascus?&#;
Genesis 15:2 ESV

But he said,
&#;O Lord God,
how am I to know that I shall possess it?&#;

So she called the name of the Lord who spoke to her,
&#;You are a God of seeing,&#;
for she said,
&#;Truly here I have seen him who looks after me.&#;

When Abram was ninety-nine years old the Lord appeared to Abram and said to him,
&#;I am God Almighty;
walk before me,
and be blameless,
Genesis 17:1 ESV

Then Abram fell on his face.
And God said to him,
Genesis 17:3 ESV

And I will establish my covenant between me and you and your offspring after you throughout their generations for an everlasting covenant,
to be God to you and to your offspring after you.
Genesis 17:7 ESV

And I will give to you and to your offspring after you the land of your sojournings,
all the land of Canaan,
for an everlasting possession,
and I will be their God.&#;
Genesis 17:8 ESV

And God said to Abraham,
&#;As for you,
you shall keep my covenant,
you and your offspring after you throughout their generations.
Genesis 17:9 ESV

And God said to Abraham,
&#;As for Sarai your wife,
you shall not call her name Sarai,
but Sarah shall be her name.
Genesis 17:15 ESV

And Abraham said to God,
&#;Oh that Ishmael might live before you!&#;
Genesis 17:18 ESV

God said,
&#;No,
but Sarah your wife shall bear you a son,
and you shall call his name Isaac.
I will establish my covenant with him as an everlasting covenant for his offspring after him.
Genesis 17:19 ESV

When he had finished talking with him,
God went up from Abraham.
Genesis 17:22 ESV

Then Abraham took Ishmael his son and all those born in his house or bought with his money,
every male among the men of Abraham&#;s house,
and he circumcised the flesh of their foreskins that very day,
as God had said to him.
Genesis 17:23 ESV

So it was that,
when God destroyed the cities of the valley,
God remembered Abraham and sent Lot out of the midst of the overthrow when he overthrew the cities in which Lot had lived.
Genesis 19:29 ESV

But God came to Abimelech in a dream by night and said to him,
&#;Behold,
you are a dead man because of the woman whom you have taken,
for she is a man&#;s wife.&#;
Genesis 20:3 ESV

Then God said to him in the dream,
&#;Yes,
I know that you have done this in the integrity of your heart,
and it was I who kept you from sinning against me.
Therefore I did not let you touch her.
Genesis 20:6 ESV

Abraham said,
&#;I did it because I thought,
&#;There is no fear of God at all in this place,
and they will kill me because of my wife.&#;
Genesis 20:11 ESV

And when God caused me to wander from my father&#;s house,
I said to her,
&#;This is the kindness you must do me:
at every place to which we come,
say of me,
&#;He is my brother.&#;&#;&#;
Genesis 20:13 ESV

Then Abraham prayed to God,
and God healed Abimelech,
and also healed his wife and female slaves so that they bore children.
Genesis 20:17 ESV

And Sarah conceived and bore Abraham a son in his old age at the time of which God had spoken to him.
Genesis 21:2 ESV

And Abraham circumcised his son Isaac when he was eight days old,
as God had commanded him.
Genesis 21:4 ESV

And Sarah said,
&#;God has made laughter for me;
everyone who hears will laugh over me.&#;
Genesis 21:6 ESV

But God said to Abraham,
&#;Be not displeased because of the boy and because of your slave woman.
Whatever Sarah says to you,
do as she tells you,
for through Isaac shall your offspring be named.
Genesis 21:12 ESV

And God heard the voice of the boy,
and the angel of God called to Hagar from heaven and said to her,
&#;What troubles you,
Hagar?
Fear not,
for God has heard the voice of the boy where he is.
Genesis 21:17 ESV

Then God opened her eyes,
and she saw a well of water.
And she went and filled the skin with water and gave the boy a drink.
Genesis 21:19 ESV

And God was with the boy,
and he grew up.
He lived in the wilderness and became an expert with the bow.
Genesis 21:20 ESV

At that time Abimelech and Phicol the commander of his army said to Abraham,
&#;God is with you in all that you do.
Genesis 21:22 ESV

Now therefore swear to me here by God that you will not deal falsely with me or with my descendants or with my posterity,
but as I have dealt kindly with you,
so you will deal with me and with the land where you have sojourned.&#;
Genesis 21:23 ESV

Abraham planted a tamarisk tree in Beersheba and called there on the name of the Lord,
the Everlasting God.
Genesis 21:33 ESV

After these things God tested Abraham and said to him,
&#;Abraham!&#;
And he said,
&#;Here I am.&#;
Genesis 22:1 ESV

So Abraham rose early in the morning,
saddled his donkey,
and took two of his young men with him,
and his son Isaac.
And he cut the wood for the burnt offering and arose and went to the place of which God had told him.
Genesis 22:3 ESV

Abraham said,
&#;God will provide for himself the lamb for a burnt offering,
my son.&#;
So they went both of them together.
Genesis 22:8 ESV

When they came to the place of which God had told him,
Abraham built the altar there and laid the wood in order and bound Isaac his son and laid him on the altar,
on top of the wood.
Genesis 22:9 ESV

He said,
&#;Do not lay your hand on the boy or do anything to him,
for now I know that you fear God,
seeing you have not withheld your son,
your only son,
from me.&#;
Genesis 22:12 ESV

&#;Hear us,
my lord;
you are a prince of God among us.
Bury your dead in the choicest of our tombs.
None of us will withhold from you his tomb to hinder you from burying your dead.&#;
Genesis 23:6 ESV

that I may make you swear by the Lord,
the God of heaven and God of the earth,
that you will not take a wife for my son from the daughters of the Canaanites,
among whom I dwell,
Genesis 24:3 ESV

The Lord,
the God of heaven,
who took me from my father&#;s house and from the land of my kindred,
and who spoke to me and swore to me,
&#;To your offspring I will give this land,&#;
he will send his angel before you,
and you shall take a wife for my son from there.
Genesis 24:7 ESV

And he said,
&#;O Lord,
God of my master Abraham,
please grant me success today and show steadfast love to my master Abraham.
Genesis 24:12 ESV

and said,
&#;Blessed be the Lord,
the God of my master Abraham,
who has not forsaken his steadfast love and his faithfulness toward my master.
As for me,
the Lord has led me in the way to the house of my master&#;s kinsmen.&#;
Genesis 24:27 ESV

&#;I came today to the spring and said,
&#;O Lord,
the God of my master Abraham,
if now you are prospering the way that I go,
Genesis 24:42 ESV

Then I bowed my head and worshiped the Lord and blessed the Lord,
the God of my master Abraham,
who had led me by the right way to take the daughter of my master&#;s kinsman for his son.
Genesis 24:48 ESV

After the death of Abraham,
God blessed Isaac his son.
And Isaac settled at Beer-lahai-roi.
Genesis 25:11 ESV

And the Lord appeared to him the same night and said,
&#;I am the God of Abraham your father.
Fear not,
for I am with you and will bless you and multiply your offspring for my servant Abraham&#;s sake.&#;
Genesis 26:24 ESV

But Isaac said to his son,
&#;How is it that you have found it so quickly,
my son?&#;
He answered,
&#;Because the Lord your God granted me success.&#;
Genesis 27:20 ESV

May God give you of the dew of heaven and of the fatness of the earth and plenty of grain and wine.

God Almighty bless you and make you fruitful and multiply you,
that you may become a company of peoples.
Genesis 28:3 ESV

May he give the blessing of Abraham to you and to your offspring with you,
that you may take possession of the land of your sojournings that God gave to Abraham!&#;

And he dreamed,
and behold,
there was a ladder set up on the earth,
and the top of it reached to heaven.
And behold,
the angels of God were ascending and descending on it!

And behold,
the Lord stood above it and said,
&#;I am the Lord,
the God of Abraham your father and the God of Isaac.
The land on which you lie I will give to you and to your offspring.

And he was afraid and said,
&#;How awesome is this place!
This is none other than the house of God,
and this is the gate of heaven.&#;

Then Jacob made a vow,
saying,
&#;If God will be with me and will keep me in this way that I go,
and will give me bread to eat and clothing to wear,

so that I come again to my father&#;s house in peace,
then the Lord shall be my God,

Jacob&#;s anger was kindled against Rachel,
and he said,
&#;Am I in the place of God,
who has withheld from you the fruit of the womb?&#;

Then Rachel said,
&#;God has judged me,
and has also heard my voice and given me a son.&#;
Therefore she called his name Dan.
Genesis 30:6 ESV

And God listened to Leah,
and she conceived and bore Jacob a fifth son.

Leah said,
&#;God has given me my wages because I gave my servant to my husband.&#;
So she called his name Issachar.
Genesis 30:18 ESV

Then Leah said,
&#;God has endowed me with a good endowment;
now my husband will honor me,
because I have borne him six sons.&#;
So she called his name Zebulun.
Genesis 30:20 ESV

Then God remembered Rachel,
and God listened to her and opened her womb.
Genesis 30:22 ESV

She conceived and bore a son and said,
&#;God has taken away my reproach.&#;
Genesis 30:23 ESV

and said to them,
&#;I see that your father does not regard me with favor as he did before.
But the God of my father has been with me.
Genesis 31:5 ESV

yet your father has cheated me and changed my wages ten times.
But God did not permit him to harm me.
Genesis 31:7 ESV

Thus God has taken away the livestock of your father and given them to me.
Genesis 31:9 ESV

Then the angel of God said to me in the dream,
&#;Jacob,&#;
and I said,
&#;Here I am!&#;
Genesis 31:11 ESV

I am the God of Bethel,
where you anointed a pillar and made a vow to me.
Now arise,
go out from this land and return to the land of your kindred.&#;&#;

All the wealth that God has taken away from our father belongs to us and to our children.
Now then,
whatever God has said to you,

But God came to Laban the Aramean in a dream by night and said to him,
&#;Be careful not to say anything to Jacob,
either good or bad.&#;

It is in my power to do you harm.
But the God of your father spoke to me last night,
saying,

If the God of my father,

Jacob went on his way,
and the angels of God met him.

And Jacob said,
&#;O God of my father Abraham and God of my father Isaac,
O Lord who said to me,
&#;Return to your country and to your kindred,
that I may do you good,&#;

So the present passed on ahead of him,
and he himself stayed that night in the camp.

Then he said,
&#;Your name shall no longer be called Jacob,
but Israel,
for you have striven with God and with men,
and have prevailed.&#;

So Jacob called the name of the place Peniel,
saying,
&#;For I have seen God face to face,
and yet my life has been delivered.&#;
Genesis 32:30 ESV

And when Esau lifted up his eyes and saw the women and children,
he said,
&#;Who are these with you?&#;
Jacob said,
&#;The children whom God has graciously given your servant.&#;

Jacob said,

please,
if I have found favor in your sight,
then accept my present from my hand.
For I have seen your face,
which is like seeing the face of God,

Please accept my blessing that is brought to you,
because God has dealt graciously with me,

Thus he urged him,
and he took it.

God said to Jacob,

go up to Bethel and dwell there.

Then let us arise and go up to Bethel,
so that I may make there an altar to the God who answers me in the day of my distress and has been with me wherever I have gone.&#;

a terror from God fell upon the cities that were around them,

no longer shall your name be called Jacob,

And God said to him,
&#;I am God Almighty:

A nation and a company of nations shall come from you,
and kings shall come from your own body.

Then God went up from him in the place where he had spoken with him.

So Jacob called the name of the place where God had spoken with him Bethel.
Genesis 35:15 ESV

He is not greater in this house than I am,
nor has he kept back anything from me except you,
because you are his wife.
How then can I do this great wickedness and sin against God?&#;

They said to him,
&#;We have had dreams,
and there is no one to interpret them.&#;
And Joseph said to them,
&#;Do not interpretations belong to God?
