Pharaoh

And when the princes of Pharaoh saw her,
they praised her to Pharaoh.
And the woman was taken into Pharaoh&#;s house.

But the Lord afflicted Pharaoh and his house with great plagues because of Sarai,
Abram&#;s wife.
Genesis 12:17 ESV

So Pharaoh called Abram and said,
&#;What is this you have done to me?
Why did you not tell me that she was your wife?
Genesis 12:18 ESV

And Pharaoh gave men orders concerning him,
and they sent him away with his wife and all that he had.
Genesis 12:20 ESV

Meanwhile the Midianites had sold him in Egypt to Potiphar,
an officer of Pharaoh,
the captain of the guard.
Genesis 37:36 ESV

Now Joseph had been brought down to Egypt,
and Potiphar,
an officer of Pharaoh,
the captain of the guard,
an Egyptian,
had bought him from the Ishmaelites who had brought him down there.

And Pharaoh was angry with his two officers,
the chief cupbearer and the chief baker,
Genesis 40:2 ESV

In three days Pharaoh will lift up your head and restore you to your office,
and you shall place Pharaoh&#;s cup in his hand as formerly,
when you were his cupbearer.

Only remember me,
when it is well with you,
and please do me the kindness to mention me to Pharaoh,
and so get me out of this house.

and in the uppermost basket there were all sorts of baked food for Pharaoh,
but the birds were eating it out of the basket on my head.&#;

In three days Pharaoh will lift up your head&#;from you!&#;and hang you on a tree.
And the birds will eat the flesh from you.&#;

After two whole years,
Pharaoh dreamed that he was standing by the Nile,
Genesis 41:1 ESV

And the ugly,
thin cows ate up the seven attractive,
plump cows.
And Pharaoh awoke.
Genesis 41:4 ESV

And the thin ears swallowed up the seven plump,
full ears.
And Pharaoh awoke,
and behold,
it was a dream.
Genesis 41:7 ESV

So in the morning his spirit was troubled,
and he sent and called for all the magicians of Egypt and all its wise men.
Pharaoh told them his dreams,
but there was none who could interpret them to Pharaoh.
Genesis 41:8 ESV

Then the chief cupbearer said to Pharaoh,
&#;I remember my offenses today.
Genesis 41:9 ESV

When Pharaoh was angry with his servants and put me and the chief baker in custody in the house of the captain of the guard,
Genesis 41:10 ESV

Then Pharaoh sent and called Joseph,
and they quickly brought him out of the pit.
And when he had shaved himself and changed his clothes,
he came in before Pharaoh.
Genesis 41:14 ESV

And Pharaoh said to Joseph,
&#;I have had a dream,
and there is no one who can interpret it.
I have heard it said of you that when you hear a dream you can interpret it.&#;
Genesis 41:15 ESV

Joseph answered Pharaoh,
&#;It is not in me;
God will give Pharaoh a favorable answer.&#;
Genesis 41:16 ESV

Then Pharaoh said to Joseph,
&#;Behold,
in my dream I was standing on the banks of the Nile.
Genesis 41:17 ESV

Then Joseph said to Pharaoh,
&#;The dreams of Pharaoh are one;
God has revealed to Pharaoh what he is about to do.
Genesis 41:25 ESV

It is as I told Pharaoh;
God has shown to Pharaoh what he is about to do.
Genesis 41:28 ESV

Now therefore let Pharaoh select a discerning and wise man,
and set him over the land of Egypt.
Genesis 41:33 ESV

Let Pharaoh proceed to appoint overseers over the land and take one-fifth of the produce of the land of Egypt during the seven plentiful years.
Genesis 41:34 ESV

And let them gather all the food of these good years that are coming and store up grain under the authority of Pharaoh for food in the cities,
and let them keep it.
Genesis 41:35 ESV

This proposal pleased Pharaoh and all his servants.

And Pharaoh said to his servants,
&#;Can we find a man like this,
in whom is the Spirit of God?&#;
Genesis 41:38 ESV

Then Pharaoh said to Joseph,
&#;Since God has shown you all this,
there is none so discerning and wise as you are.
Genesis 41:39 ESV

And Pharaoh said to Joseph,
&#;See,
I have set you over all the land of Egypt.&#;
Genesis 41:41 ESV

Then Pharaoh took his signet ring from his hand and put it on Joseph&#;s hand,
and clothed him in garments of fine linen and put a gold chain about his neck.
Genesis 41:42 ESV

Moreover,
Pharaoh said to Joseph,
&#;I am Pharaoh,
and without your consent no one shall lift up hand or foot in all the land of Egypt.&#;
Genesis 41:44 ESV

And Pharaoh called Joseph&#;s name Zaphenath-paneah.
And he gave him in marriage Asenath,
the daughter of Potiphera priest of On.
So Joseph went out over the land of Egypt.
Genesis 41:45 ESV

Joseph was thirty years old when he entered the service of Pharaoh king of Egypt.
And Joseph went out from the presence of Pharaoh and went through all the land of Egypt.
Genesis 41:46 ESV

When all the land of Egypt was famished,
the people cried to Pharaoh for bread.
Pharaoh said to all the Egyptians,
&#;Go to Joseph.
What he says to you,
do.&#;
Genesis 41:55 ESV

By this you shall be tested:
by the life of Pharaoh,
you shall not go from this place unless your youngest brother comes here.
Genesis 42:15 ESV

Send one of you,
and let him bring your brother,
while you remain confined,
that your words may be tested,
whether there is truth in you.
Or else,
by the life of Pharaoh,
surely you are spies.&#;

Then Judah went up to him and said,
&#;Oh,
my lord,
please let your servant speak a word in my lord&#;s ears,
and let not your anger burn against your servant,
for you are like Pharaoh himself.

And he wept aloud,
so that the Egyptians heard it,
and the household of Pharaoh heard it.

So it was not you who sent me here,
but God.
He has made me a father to Pharaoh,
and lord of all his house and ruler over all the land of Egypt.

When the report was heard in Pharaoh&#;s house,

it pleased Pharaoh and his servants.

And Pharaoh said to Joseph,
&#;Say to your brothers,

load your beasts and go back to the land of Canaan,

The sons of Israel did so:
and Joseph gave them wagons,
according to the command of Pharaoh,
and gave them provisions for the journey.

Then Jacob set out from Beersheba.
The sons of Israel carried Jacob their father,
their little ones,
and their wives,
in the wagons that Pharaoh had sent to carry him.
Genesis 46:5 ESV

Joseph said to his brothers and to his father&#;s household,
&#;I will go up and tell Pharaoh and will say to him,
&#;My brothers and my father&#;s household,
who were in the land of Canaan,
have come to me.
Genesis 46:31 ESV

When Pharaoh calls you and says,
&#;What is your occupation?&#;
Genesis 46:33 ESV

So Joseph went in and told Pharaoh,
&#;My father and my brothers,
with their flocks and herds and all that they possess,
have come from the land of Canaan.
They are now in the land of Goshen.&#;
Genesis 47:1 ESV

And from among his brothers he took five men and presented them to Pharaoh.
Genesis 47:2 ESV

Pharaoh said to his brothers,
&#;What is your occupation?&#;
And they said to Pharaoh,
&#;Your servants are shepherds,
as our fathers were.&#;
Genesis 47:3 ESV

They said to Pharaoh,
&#;We have come to sojourn in the land,
for there is no pasture for your servants&#;
flocks,
for the famine is severe in the land of Canaan.
And now,
please let your servants dwell in the land of Goshen.&#;
Genesis 47:4 ESV

Then Pharaoh said to Joseph,
&#;Your father and your brothers have come to you.
Genesis 47:5 ESV

Then Joseph brought in Jacob his father and stood him before Pharaoh,
and Jacob blessed Pharaoh.
Genesis 47:7 ESV

And Pharaoh said to Jacob,
&#;How many are the days of the years of your life?&#;
Genesis 47:8 ESV

And Jacob said to Pharaoh,
&#;The days of the years of my sojourning are years.
Few and evil have been the days of the years of my life,
and they have not attained to the days of the years of the life of my fathers in the days of their sojourning.&#;
Genesis 47:9 ESV

And Jacob blessed Pharaoh and went out from the presence of Pharaoh.
Genesis 47:10 ESV

Then Joseph settled his father and his brothers and gave them a possession in the land of Egypt,
in the best of the land,
in the land of Rameses,
as Pharaoh had commanded.
Genesis 47:11 ESV

Why should we die before your eyes,
both we and our land?
Buy us and our land for food,
and we with our land will be servants to Pharaoh.
And give us seed that we may live and not die,
and that the land may not be desolate.&#;
Genesis 47:19 ESV

So Joseph bought all the land of Egypt for Pharaoh,
for all the Egyptians sold their fields,
because the famine was severe on them.
The land became Pharaoh&#;s.
Genesis 47:20 ESV

Only the land of the priests he did not buy,
for the priests had a fixed allowance from Pharaoh and lived on the allowance that Pharaoh gave them;
therefore they did not sell their land.
Genesis 47:22 ESV

Then Joseph said to the people,
&#;Behold,
I have this day bought you and your land for Pharaoh.
Now here is seed for you,
and you shall sow the land.
Genesis 47:23 ESV

And at the harvests you shall give a fifth to Pharaoh,
and four fifths shall be your own,
as seed for the field and as food for yourselves and your households,
and as food for your little ones.&#;
Genesis 47:24 ESV

And they said,
&#;You have saved our lives;
may it please my lord,
we will be servants to Pharaoh.&#;
Genesis 47:25 ESV

So Joseph made it a statute concerning the land of Egypt,
and it stands to this day,
that Pharaoh should have the fifth;
the land of the priests alone did not become Pharaoh&#;s.
Genesis 47:26 ESV

And when the days of weeping for him were past,
Joseph spoke to the household of Pharaoh,
saying,
&#;If now I have found favor in your eyes,
please speak in the ears of Pharaoh,
saying,
Genesis 50:4 ESV

And Pharaoh answered,
&#;Go up,
and bury your father,
as he made you swear.&#;
Genesis 50:6 ESV

So Joseph went up to bury his father.
With him went up all the servants of Pharaoh,
the elders of his household,
and all the elders of the land of Egypt,
Genesis 50:7 ESV
