They

These are the generations of the heavens and of the earth when they were created,
in the day that the LORD God made the earth and the heavens,

This one fellow came in to sojourn,
and he will needs be a judge:
now will we deal worse with thee,
than with them.

even Lot,
and came near to break the door.

And they smote the men that were at the door of the house with blindness,
both small and great:
so that they wearied themselves to find the door.

And while he lingered,
the men laid hold upon his hand,
and upon the hand of his wife,
and upon the hand of his two daughters;
the LORD being merciful unto him:
and they brought him forth,
and set him without the city.

when they had brought them forth abroad,

Escape for thy life;
look not behind thee,
neither stay thou in all the plain;
escape to the mountain,
lest thou be consumed.

and he died in the presence of all his brethren.

And he removed from thence,
and digged another well;
and for that they strove not:
and he called the name of it Rehoboth;

For now the LORD hath made room for us,
and we shall be fruitful in the land.

And they said,
We saw certainly that the LORD was with thee:
and we said,
Let there be now an oath betwixt us,
even betwixt us and thee,
and let us make a covenant with thee;

And he made them a feast,
and they did eat and drink.

And they rose up betimes in the morning,
and sware one to another:
and Isaac sent them away,
and they departed from him in peace.

and told him concerning the well which they had digged,

We have found water.

Which were a grief of mind unto Isaac and to Rebekah.

and they drew and lifted up Joseph out of the pit,
and sold Joseph to the Ishmaelites for twenty pieces of silver:

that he may seek occasion against us,
and fall upon us,
and take us for bondmen,
and our asses.

and they communed with him at the door of the house,

And the man brought the men into Joseph's house,
and gave them water,
and they washed their feet;
and he gave their asses provender.

for they heard that they should eat bread there.

they brought him the present which was in their hand into the house,

Thy servant our father is in good health,
he is yet alive.

and made obeisance.

And they set on for him by himself,
and for them by themselves,
and for the Egyptians,

because the Egyptians might not eat bread with the Hebrews;
for that is an abomination unto the Egyptians.

the firstborn according to his birthright,
and the youngest according to his youth:
and the men marveled one at another.

And he took and sent messes unto them from before him:
but Benjamin's mess was five times so much as any of theirs.

and when thou dost overtake them,
say unto them,
Wherefore have ye rewarded evil for good?
