Genesis 38:8 NRT

8 Then Judas [he said, said, say, saying, tell] Онану:

–You [must, ought, should] (lie down) [and, from, in, of, with] wife brother and [execute, fulfill, perform] debt деверя:
произвести́ пото́мство для бра́та.

Then Judah said to Onan, “Go in to your brother's wife and perform the duty of a brother-in-law to her, and raise up offspring for your brother.” Genesis 38:8 ESV

Genesis 38:9 NRT
9 Но Онан знал,
9 [But, Yet] Onan [knew, know],

[what, that, why] offspring [will be, would be] [never, not] [his, him, it],
и поэ́тому вся́кий раз,
and [that is why, therefore, wherefore] [any, every, everyone, whoever, whosoever] [once, time],

он изливал се́мя на зе́млю,
he изливал [offspring, seed] [at, by, in, it, on the, to, toward, upon] [earth, land],

But Onan knew that the offspring would not be his. So whenever he went in to his brother's wife he would waste the semen on the ground, so as not to give offspring to his brother. Genesis 38:9 ESV
And Onan knew that the seed should not be his;
and it came to pass, when he went in unto his brother's wife, that he spilled it on the ground, lest that he should give seed to his brother. Genesis 38:9 KJV |
