я за большие де́ньги приобрёл э́то гражданство.

i [after, around, at, behind, over] [big, large, huge] [cash, currency, money] [gained, has gained, purchased] [that, this, it] гражданство.

Па́вел же сказа́л:

Paul [but, same, then] [he said, said, say, saying, tell]:

а я и роди́лся в нем.

[while, and, but] i and [born, was born] [at, in, of, on] [dumb, him, mute, speechless].

With a great sum obtained I this freedom.
