5 Иа́ков слы́шал,

5 [Jacob, James] heard,

что [сын Емморов] обесче́стил Ди́ну,

[what, that, why] [son Емморов] [defiled, dishonored] Dinah,

дочь его́,

daughter [his, him, it],

но как сыновья его́ бы́ли со ското́м его́ в по́ле,

[but, yet] [how, what, as, like (comparison)] sons [his, him, it] [been, has been, were] [after, with] cattle [his, him, it] [at, in, of, on] field,

то Иа́ков молча́л,

that [Jacob, James] [he was silent, silent, speechless],

пока́ не пришли́ они́.

[bye, while] [never, not] came [they, they are].

Now Jacob heard that he had defiled his daughter Dinah.
But his sons were with his livestock in the field,
so Jacob held his peace until they came.
