6 Говори́л же э́то,

6 Spoke [but, same, then] [that, this, it],

испы́тывая его́;

[experiencing, testing] [his, him, it];

и́бо Сам знал,

[for, because] [Himself, Itself, Myself, Self] [knew, know],

что хоте́л сде́лать.

[what, that, why] [he wanted, wanted] (to do).

He said this to test him,
for he himself knew what he would do.
