17 Впро́чем я зна́ю,

17 [However, Nevertheless] i [i know, know],

бра́тия,

[brethren, brothers],

что вы,

[what, that, why] [ye, you],

как и нача́льники ва́ши,

[how, what, as, like (comparison)] and chiefs [your, yours],

сде́лали э́то по неведению;

made [that, this, it] [along, by, in, on, to, unto] неведению;

And now,
brethren,
I wot that through ignorance ye did it,
as did also your rulers.
