28 Когда́ она́ уже́ рожала,

28 When [she, she is] already рожала,

оди́н из них высунул ру́ку;

[alone, one] [from, in, of, out] [them, they] высунул hand;

тогда́ же́нщина,

then woman,

принима́вшая ро́ды взяла́ а́лую нить,

[host, the host] [birth, childbirth] [taken, took] [crimson, scarlet] thread,

обвязала ему́ запя́стье и сказа́ла:

обвязала [him, it, to him] wrist and ((she) said):

–Э́тот вы́шел пе́рвым.

–This [came, came out] first.

And when she was in labor,
one put out a hand,
and the midwife took and tied a scarlet thread on his hand,
saying,
“This one came out first.”
