36 А оди́н побежа́л,

36 [While, And, But] [alone, one] ran,

напо́лнил гу́бку у́ксусом и,

[filled, pour] [sponge, spunge] vinegar and,

наложи́в на трость,

[by imposing, put] [at, by, in, it, on the, to, toward, upon] [cane, walking stick],

дава́л Ему́ пить,

[gave, he gave, provided] [Him, It, To Him] [drink, thirsty],

говоря́:

[saying, talking]:

постойте,

посмо́трим,

(let us look and see),

придёт ли Илия́ снять Его́.

[come, comes, cometh, coming, will come] whether [Or Me, Elijah] [take off, remove] [His, Him, It].

And someone ran and filled a sponge with sour wine,
put it on a reed and gave it to him to drink,
saying,
“Wait,
let us see whether Elijah will come to take him down.”
