35 К челове́ку тотчас же верну́лся слух,
35 [To, For, By] (to a person) immediately [but, same, then] [came back, returned] [hearing, rumor, rumour],
скованный язы́к стал дви́гаться,
скованный [language, tongue] became move,
и он на́чал говори́ть я́сно.
and he [began, start] [to speak, to talk] [it is clear, i see clearly]. |
And straightway his ears were opened,

в ту ночь Пётр спал ме́жду двумя́ во́инами,
[at, in, of, on] that night Peter [asleep, slept] [among, between, meanwhile] two [fighters, soldiers, warriors],
скованный двумя́ цепя́ми,
скованный two chains,
и стра́жи у двере́й стерегли́ темни́цу.
and guardians [at, by, with, of] doors guarded [dungeon, prison]. |
And when Herod would have brought him forth,
