16 Они́ подосла́ли к Нему́ свои́х ученико́в и иродиан.

16 [They, They Are] [sent, they sent me] [to, for, by] [Him, His] their disciples and [herodian, herodians].

–Учи́тель,

–[Master, Teacher, Tutor],

–спроси́ли они́,

–[asked, they asked] [they, they are],

–мы зна́ем,

–[we, we are] [know, we know],

что Ты Челове́к че́стный и и́стинно у́чишь пути́ Бо́жьему.

[what, that, why] You [Man, Human, Person] honest and [truly, verily] [instruct, learn, teach, teachest, you teach] [ways, path, road] [God, God's].

Ты беспристра́стен и не стремишься никому́ угодить.

You [impartial, unbiased] and [never, not] стремишься nobody угодить.

And they sent their disciples to him,
along with the Herodians,
saying,
“Teacher,
we know that you are true and teach the way of God truthfully,
and you do not care about anyone's opinion,
for you are not swayed by appearances.

And they sent out unto him their disciples with the Herodians,
saying,
Master,
we know that thou art true,
and teachest the way of God in truth,
neither carest thou for any man:
for thou regardest not the person of men.

Сле́дует ли плати́ть нало́г кесарю и́ли нет?

[Should, Follow] whether [pay, to pay] [tax, taxation] caesar or [no, not]?

Плати́ть нам и́ли не плати́ть?

[Pay, To Pay] [to us, us] or [never, not] [pay, to pay]?

And they came and said to him,
“Teacher,
we know that you are true and do not care about anyone's opinion.
For you are not swayed by appearances,
but truly teach the way of God.
Is it lawful to pay taxes to Caesar,
or not?
Should we pay them,
or should we not?”
