6 Впро́чем,

6 [However, Nevertheless],

е́сли захочу́ хвали́ться,

[if, a, when, unless] (i want) [boast, boasting, brag, brag about it, to boast],

не бу́ду неразумен,

[never, not] [i will, will] неразумен,

потому́ что скажу́ и́стину;

[because, that is why, therefore] [what, that, why] [i will say, say, tell] [the truth, truth];

но я удерживаюсь,

[but, yet] i удерживаюсь,

что́бы кто не поду́мал о мне бо́лее,

[to, so that, in order to, because of] who [never, not] [i thought, thought] about [me, to me] [above, greater, more, over],

не́жели ско́лько во мне ви́дит и́ли слы́шит от меня́.

(rather than) [how, how many, how much] [in, on] [me, to me] [he sees, saw, sees, seeth] or [hear, hears] from [i, me, self].

For though I would desire to glory,
I shall not be a fool;
for I will say the truth:
but now I forbear,
lest any man should think of me above that which he seeth me to be,
or that he heareth of me.
