12 Он сказа́л им в отве́т:

12 He [he said, said, say, saying, tell] [it, them] [at, in, of, on] answer:

пра́вда,

truth,

Илия́ до́лжен придти пре́жде и устроить все;

[Or Me, Elijah] [must, ought, should] come before and устроить [all, any, every, everybody, everyone];

и Сы́ну Челове́ческому,

and [Son, To My Son] [Human, Man],

как напи́сано о Нем,

[how, what, as, like (comparison)] written about [Dumb, Him, Mute, Speechless],

[надлежи́т] мно́го пострада́ть и быть уничижену.

[[due, it should, to be]] [a lot of, many] [get injured, suffer, to suffer] and [be, become, been, has been, to be, to become] уничижену.

And he said to them,
“Elijah does come first to restore all things.
And how is it written of the Son of Man that he should suffer many things and be treated with contempt?

And he answered and told them,
Elias verily cometh first,
and restoreth all things;
and how it is written of the Son of man,
that he must suffer many things,
and be set at nought.
