рассужда́я ме́жду собо́ю,

[discussed, reasoned, reasoning] [among, between, meanwhile] [by myself, yourself, yourselves],

говори́ли:

[they said, we talked]:

[э́то зна́чит],

[[that, this, it] [interpreted, means]],

что хлебов нет у нас.

[what, that, why] [bread, loaves] [no, not] [at, by, with, of] [us, we].

And they began discussing with one another the fact that they had no bread.
