33 Тогда́ тысяченача́льник,

33 Then [chief of the thousand, the thousand commander],

прибли́зившись,

[approaching, getting closer],

взял его́ и веле́л сковать двумя́ цепя́ми,

took [his, him, it] and [he told me to, ordered, told] сковать two chains,

и спра́шивал:

and [asked, inquired]:

кто он,

who he,

и что сде́лал.

and [what, that, why] [did, done].

Then the chief captain came near,
and took him,
and commanded him to be bound with two chains;
and demanded who he was,
and what he had done.
