3 И сказа́л Ио́сиф бра́тьям свои́м:

3 And [he said, said, say, saying, tell] Joseph brothers [his, mine, your]:

я-иосиф,

я--Иосиф,,

жив ли ещё оте́ц мой?

[alive, liveth, living] whether [again, also, another, even, further, more] father [mine, my]?

Но бра́тья его́ не могли́ отвеча́ть ему́,

[But, Yet] brothers [his, him, it] [never, not] could reply [him, it, to him],

потому́ что они́ смутились пред ним.

[because, that is why, therefore] [what, that, why] [they, they are] смутились [before, front] him.

And Joseph said to his brothers,
“I am Joseph!
Is my father still alive?”
But his brothers could not answer him,
for they were dismayed at his presence.
