38 А над Иису́сом на кресте́ была́ на́дпись:
38 [While, And, But] above Jesus [at, by, in, it, on the, to, toward, upon] cross was inscription:
«Э́то Царь Иуде́ев».
«[That, This, It] King Jews». |
And a superscription also was written over him in letters of Greek,

19 Пила́т приказа́л прикрепи́ть на кресте́ табли́чку с на́дписью:
19 Pilate ordered attach [at, by, in, it, on the, to, toward, upon] cross [tablet, nameplate, a sign] [and, from, in, of, with] inscription:
«Иису́с Назаря́нин –– Царь Иуде́ев».
«Jesus Nazarene –– King Jews». |
Pilate also wrote an inscription and put it on the cross. It read, “Jesus of Nazareth, the King of the Jews.” John 19:19 ESV

--и́бо та суббо́та была́ день вели́кий,
--[for, because] that [saturday, sabbath] was day great,
--проси́ли Пила́та,
--[appealed, asked, begged, besought, pleaded, they asked] Pilate,
что́бы переби́ть у них го́лени и снять их.
[to, so that, in order to, because of] [interrupt, kill] [at, by, with, of] [them, they] [legs, lower legs, shins] and [take off, remove] [them, their]. |
Since it was the day of Preparation, and so that the bodies would not remain on the cross on the Sabbath (for that Sabbath was a high day), the Jews asked Pilate that their legs might be broken and that they might be taken away. John 19:31 ESV
