4 Когда́ же недоумева́ли они́ о сём,
4 When [but, same, then] [perplexed, they were perplexed] [they, they are] about [this, same],
вдруг предста́ли пе́ред ни́ми два му́жа в оде́ждах блиста́ющих.
[all of a sudden, suddenly] [appeared, presented, they appeared] before them two [husband, man, men] [at, in, of, on] clothes [brilliant, glittering, shining]. |

нача́льник стра́жи и про́чие первосвяще́нники,
[boss, supervisor] guardians and other (high priests),
недоумева́ли,
