когда́ входи́л к же́не бра́та своего́,
when [coming in, entered] [to, for, by] wife brother [his, yours],
изливал на зе́млю,
изливал [on the, it, at, to, in, by] [earth, land],
что́бы не дать семени бра́ту своему́.
[to, so that, in order to, because of] [never, not] [give, to give] seed brother [to his, your own]. |
But Onan knew that the offspring would not be his. So whenever he went in to his brother&#;s wife he would waste the semen on the ground, so as not to give offspring to his brother. Genesis 38:9 ESV
And Onan knew that the seed should not be his;
