5 И потому́ на́добно повинова́ться не то́лько из стра́ха наказа́ния,
5 And [because, that is why, therefore] (need to) obey [never, not] [alone, only, just] [from, in, of, out] fear punishments,
но и по со́вести.
[but, yet] and [along, by, in, on, to, unto] conscience. |
Wherefore ye must needs be subject,

12 И́бо похвала́ на́ша сия́ есть свиде́тельство со́вести на́шей,

что мы в простоте́ и богоугодной искренности,

не по плотской му́дрости,

но по благода́ти Божией,

жи́ли в ми́ре,

осо́бенно же у вас.

For our rejoicing is this,

отвергнув скрытные постыдные дела,
отвергнув скрытные постыдные [affairs, business, deeds, works],
не прибегая к хитрости и не искажая слова Божия,
[never, not] прибегая [to, for, by] хитрости and [never, not] искажая [speech, the words, word, words] [God, God's],
а открыва́я и́стину,
[while, and, but] opening [the truth, truth],
представляем себя́ со́вести вся́кого челове́ка пред Бо́гом.
представляем [itself, myself, yourself] conscience [any, anyone, every one, whosoever] human [before, front] [By God, God]. |
But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty,
