задержав его́,

посади́л в темни́цу,

planted [at, in, of, on] [dungeon, prison],

и приказа́л четырем четверицам во́инов стере́чь его́,

and ordered четырем четверицам warriors [guard, watch over] [his, him, it],

намерева́ясь по́сле Па́схи вы́вести его́ к наро́ду.

[intending, intending to] [after, beyond] [Easter, Passover] [bring out, withdraw] [his, him, it] [to, for, by] [to the people, nation].

And when he had apprehended him,
he put him in prison,
and delivered him to four quaternions of soldiers to keep him;
intending after Easter to bring him forth to the people.
