2 Там он уви́дел коло́дец в по́ле и возле него́ три отары ове́ц,
2 There he [had seen, saw, seeing, seen, seeth] well [at, in, of, on] field and возле him three отары sheep,
потому́ что из того́ коло́дца поили скот.
[because, that is why, therefore] [what, that, why] [from, in, of, out] that wells поили [cattle, livestock].
Коло́дец был закрыт большим камнем.

As he looked,
he saw a well in the field,
and behold,
three flocks of sheep lying beside it,
for out of that well the flocks were watered.

3 Когда́ все отары собира́лись,
3 When [all, any, every, everybody, everyone] отары (we were going to meet),
пастухи́ отваливали ка́мень от коло́дца и поили ове́ц,
shepherds отваливали [rock, stone] from wells and поили sheep,
а пото́м кла́ли ка́мень на пре́жнее ме́сто.

and when all the flocks were gathered there,

“Behold,
it is still high day;
it is not time for the livestock to be gathered together.
Water the sheep and go,
pasture them.”

neither is it time that the cattle should be gathered together:

and go and feed them.

“We cannot until all the flocks are gathered together and the stone is rolled from the mouth of the well;
then we water the sheep.”

We cannot,
