16 Никто́ не пришива́ет к ста́рой оде́жде запла́ту из но́вой тка́ни:
16 [No One, Nobody] [never, not] [sews on, stitches] [to, for, by] old clothes [patch, piece] [from, in, of, out] new [clothes, cloths, fabrics]:
она́ ся́дет,
[she, she is] [sit, sit down, will sit down],
и дыра́ ста́нет ещё бо́льше.
and hole [become, it will become, will become] [again, also, another, even, further, more] [again, great, more]. |
No one puts a piece of unshrunk cloth on an old garment, for the patch tears away from the garment, and a worse tear is made. Matthew 9:16 ESV

и́бо вновь пришитое отдерёт от ста́рого,
[for, because] again пришитое [he will take it away, will pull it off] from [old, the old one],
и дыра́ бу́дет ещё ху́же.

Тако́в был иуде́йский погреба́льный обы́чай.
[Such, Such Is] [be, to be, was, were] jewish [funerary, mortuary] custom. |
