3 И яви́лись им разделяющиеся языки́,
3 And came [it, them] разделяющиеся languages,
как бы огненные,
[how, what, as, like (comparison)] would огненные,
и почили по одному́ на ка́ждом из них.
and почили [along, by, in, on, to, unto] [alone, to one] [at, by, in, it, on the, to, toward, upon] [each, every, everybody, everyone] [from, in, of, out] [them, they]. |
And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire,

8 Любо́вь никогда́ не перестаёт,
8 Love never [never, not] [ceased, it stops, stops],
хотя́ и пророчества прекратя́тся,
[although, though] and пророчества [cease, stop, they will stop, will stop],
и языки́ умо́лкнут,
and languages [they will fall silent, will be silenced],
и зна́ние упразднится.
and knowledge упразднится. |

22 Ита́к языки́ суть знамение не для ве́рующих,
22 So languages [essence, point] [miracle, sign, the sign] [never, not] for [believe, believers],
а для неверующих;
[while, and, but] for неверующих;
проро́чество же не для неверующих,
[prophecy, the prophecy] [but, same, then] [never, not] for неверующих,
а для ве́рующих.
