2 Вот житие́ Иа́кова.

2 [Behold, Here, There] life [Jacob, James].

Ио́сиф,

Joseph,

семнадцати лет,

семнадцати years,

пас скот вме́сте с бра́тьями свои́ми,

[pass, pasture, pastured] [cattle, livestock] together [and, from, in, of, with] [brethren, brothers] (with their own),

бу́дучи о́троком,

being [a boy, as a youth, boy, youth],

с сыновья́ми Валлы и с сыновья́ми Зелфы,

[and, from, in, of, with] [children, sons] Bilhah and [and, from, in, of, with] [children, sons] Zilpah,

жён отца́ своего́.

[wives, women] [father, the father] [his, yours].

И доводил Ио́сиф худы́е о них слу́хи до отца́ их.

And доводил Joseph [bad, evil, skinny, thin] about [them, they] [gossip, rumors] [before, until] [father, the father] [them, their].

These are the generations of Jacob.
Joseph,
being seventeen years old,
was pasturing the flock with his brothers.
He was a boy with the sons of Bilhah and Zilpah,
his father's wives.
And Joseph brought a bad report of them to their father.

И просну́лся фарао́н,

And [awoke, woke, woke up] [pharaoh, the pharaoh],

And the ugly,
thin cows ate up the seven attractive,
plump cows.
And Pharaoh awoke.

And the thin,
ugly cows ate up the first seven plump cows,

а худо́е де́рево прино́сит и плоды́ худы́е.

So,
every healthy tree bears good fruit,
but the diseased tree bears bad fruit.

A healthy tree cannot bear bad fruit,
nor can a diseased tree bear good fruit.
