7 [Citizens, Multitude, People, Residents, Village] places that [asked, they asked] about wife [his, him, it],
and he [he said, said, say, saying, tell]:
э́то сестра́ моя́;
[that, this, it] sister my;
[because, that is why, therefore] [what, that, why] [fear, feared, i was afraid] [say, speak, tell, to say, to tell]:
жена́ моя́,
wife my,
[to, so that, in order to, because of] [never, not] [killed, murder] [i, me, self],
[thought he],
[citizens, multitude, people, residents, village] places (with his) [after, around, at, behind, over] [Rebecca, Rebekah],
[because, that is why, therefore] [what, that, why] [she, she is] прекрасна [appearance, countenance, view]. |
When the men of the place asked him about his wife, he said, &#;She is my sister,&#; for he feared to say, &#;My wife,&#; thinking, &#;lest the men of the place should kill me because of Rebekah,&#; because she was attractive in appearance. Genesis 26:7 ESV

[how, what, as, like (comparison)] [but, same, then] you [he said, said, say, saying, tell]:
она́ сестра́ моя́?
[she, she is] sister my?
Isaac [he said, said, say, saying, tell] [him, it, to him]:

не умере́ть бы мне ра́ди её.
[never, not] die would [me, to me] (for the sake of) her. |
So Abimelech called Isaac and said, &#;Behold, she is your wife. How then could you say, &#;She is my sister&#;?&#; Isaac said to him, &#;Because I thought, &#;Lest I die because of her.&#;&#; Genesis 26:9 ESV
